I've been trying to use this code:
"Speed up text - Xenogears" 300B21D6 0001
using your CEP and pSX... but it just doesn't seem to do anything. Interestingly, using CEP downloaded from Dr. Hell's site with ePSXe ALSO doesn't seem to work with this code. The only way I've gotten it to work is by using Dr. Hell's PAR GPU wrapper thing for ePSXe... it works perfectly if I use it with that.
Is there anything that can be done about this? Since it doesn't seem to work with regular CEP through ePSXe, I suppose it's probably a problem with CEP itself... but I'd really like to play this game in pSX with this code on. :\

Hmm... the code may end up having an offset. Are you using a cue/bin image file? If so, you may want to try using a ccd/img/sub or mds/mdf image, or at least mount the image if you're directly inserting the image. Playing from original disc is best, but those other methods are known to work too.

I'll try to look into it by tomorrow. Maybe I'll set some new base address search ranges. Try the original version directly from Dr. Hell's site to see if his version generates a different value. If it does, use that value in the updated version of CEP. Feel free to use it every time you use the program. Otherwise... I'll try to fix the base address problem by tomorrow.

Yeah, but the link (and name of the program itself) is in english, so you don't have to know a drop of japanese to download it. Regardless, here is the direct link from his site for the original program. I haven't had much of a chance to work on the problem, else I'd have it for you already. But... here, I made some tweaks to it that may very well fix some problems. I'm still working on a few ins and outs that I think may help solve more problems, but for now, try this and let me know how it goes. pSX Author: This is, as far as I know, a stable configuration update. Please update the second link in the first post with this newly provided link.

CEP supports most gameshark codes of that version or higher. Can you be a little more specific on some of those codes that don't work, and the game they're for? raijin: It works?! Awesome. I wasn't sure if my changes would be enough. I hope other people having problems test it and have similar positive results.

Hi everyone! New to the board so thought id say hello. Also, Im having problem with cep. It used to work for me, now it just stopped! I load psx emulator w/ cd image, then when it loads i star cep, choose process and base address and then search to get address. Ill enter codes but when i click on i get nothing. Ive tried different code sites, i just dont understand why the codes quit working. Ive noticed the base address is different now from what i remember it being when it worked. For example, i remember ffviii having one like 05xxxxxx but now i get one like 0230C38E. I cant get any codes to work with games anymore and i love this emulator. Help me
