I would say yes. I wouldn't mind another author making it able to load optional plugins. I've always wished I could use pokopom with this so that I would have perfect rumble. This emulator beats every other emulator's 'default' plugins any day. It would also be cool for other developers to incorporate some of psx 1.13's tech into their tech and vice versa so that psx emulation would be that much more perfect after all these years since it began.

Game Title: Final Fantasy VII Game ID(s): [SCUS-94165] pSX Version(s): 1.13
More small sound issues -
Jenova's voice is high pitched. I have included a savestate for it to quickly be viewable. Also, most normal attack sound effects are a little higher pitched as well. Honestly, I don't know if all of these sound issues that I'm saying should be in one thread or separate. Fixing one game may very well fix all. But I don't know if it affects every game (updates) or if just it's single game. I'll just stop here though with the sound issues. If this gets fixed, then I'll see if it has affected other games and then we'll go from there. I don't want to clutter up the threads.

Game Title: Final Fantasy IX Game ID(s): [SLUS-00910] pSX Version(s): 1.13
Using bin/cue -
When entering a normal battle, the beat of the song is high pitched. This is not normal. You can recognize this immediately because the beat will sound like "tick, tick, tick-tick, tick, tick, tick-tick instead of the normal deep bass-like beat.
Sound settings in the emulator are default.
Also, black bars are at the top and bottom of the screen as well. I know the author is going for accuracy, but even if a particular game is a smaller ratio, the actual playstation machine still stretched it to fill the whole screen. Since black bars are on alot of games, a stretch to window/screen option would be a good idea. That wouldn't stray away from accuracy at all.

1,3 - I think this is the reason why there is a "show full area in capcom fighters" hack in most playstation emulators. I don't think the game has a screen calibration option.
2 - Not normal. So far, no emulator has fixed this yet. The pcsx-reloaded has fixed this before, but they undid it because it broke something else in a few other games.
p.s. forgot add that I am playing from bin/cue.

1 - Nah, that's not normal. I have the physical disk and I still have my phat ps2. there are some ppl on youtube that have recorded the game from the actual system as well. The sound effects are way better on this emulator than any other for this game though. But if the author wants perfection, I just thought I'd point this out since it wasn't on the compatibility list.

A couple of things that I've noticed with this game while using psx 1.13:
1 - A thin black bar is along the top and bottom of the screen
2 - When you win a match and the points are accumulating, the music doesn't fade out gradually. It just cuts off.
3 - When you win a match and are accumulating points, it is noticed that the whole game is zoomed in a little too much. I say this because the points accumulating are running offscreen and you cannot see the last bit/last digit of numbers fully.

A few small things I've noticed with this game when playing it with psx 1.13
1 - Selection confirm sound effects are high pitched. Same thing with the sound effect when you finish lap 1 and 2 in a race.
2 - When racing, a small black bar is showing along the bottom of the screen.
Nothing big, but noticeable nonetheless.
