Fan-fucking-tastic emulator.
It's about time someone developed something like this. Straightforward, no configuration necessary, works out of the box, highly compatible, etc etc etc. I LOVE it.
Seriously, leave the plugins for the other emulators and keep on doing what you're doing. I'm going to be recommending this emulator to everyone from now on.

Congratilatios! Great emu! But to beat ePSXe you need more work to do: ePSXe snap compability, support other types of CD images, ppf patches, GameShark, netplay, etc. BTW I saw major problem with Valkyrie Profile - the game crashes then i enter world map.

Ah the plugin Killer...very sweet....This is crazy for a first release...fantastic job. I know this is made to emulate the psx as is, but in anycase I think you should maybe implement some texture filters of some sort for graphics improvments..cause lets face it thats what its all about now.
I have to say though this is something really great and can become the plugin killer.

No gameshark please!!!!! It is ridiculous! Anything else is fine however this is great emu anyway!

problematic games:
Metal Slug (J): Runs fine for first level, but at the start of the second level, the upper sprite plane will stay in a fixed position instead of scrolling along. This will make you stuck after 10 seconds or so into the level, making the game unplayable. It displays the map just before level 2 however, which epsxe does not do. Otherwise the two emus behave the same way.
Battle Arena Toshinden 4: shows garbled BIOS logo and stucks there, the game doesn't boot. on epsxe it works fine, except that it locks up after you select your characters in story mode, making it impossible to unlock any features in the game (art gallery, practice, vs, etc modes still work, it just hangs there at the story mode).

also, it would be nice if you could disable filtering to get pixel-accurate display.
speaking of which, does the emu use hardware acceleration, or does it run entirely in software mode (like MAME for example) for perfectly accurate display?

If you found a bug..do not leave it here. Just email to the author. That's what readme say.
