memory-card is still memory-card in german as well as sound is sound. Therefore i don't think it should be translated.
I really know, that many germans mix the languages like they want. Mostly the younger generation does this. But i think a translation should use german, where ever it is understandable. Why a translation, when the half is left in english?
In Germany, you can buy a "Soundkarte" (soundcard), but you buy a "Grafikkarte" (this time not "Graphickarte"). Sometimes this, sometimes that. Why? Many people use this, but it is simply incorrect.
And please dont tell me, that "Klang" (sound) would irritate the people. It is the clear german opposite, that everybody understands. Or do you think its normal, that an orchestra makes "Klänge" (sounds), but a PC makes sounds? Why? Do you have an answer? Im really interessted.
I just cant believe, that so many germans hate their own language.
//edit:
BTW: Of course should "PlayStation" not been translated, Kiru, since its a "product name". Such names are never translated, but the manual and screentext and buttons and... you know?
