Not sure if this goes here, nevertheless may we be seeing an XBOX port of this wonderful emulator? Just in case anyone miss out, XPort, the author of pcsxbox, xboyadvance, etc, has been asking for requests for the new version of pcsxbox (XBOX port for pcsx) that he will be updating. And he is interested in contacting pSX author, and if possible to port this emu over. original post on pcsxbox request here : forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=508205

I have read multiple times that the source would be shared on the old forum if their was someone willing to port the emulator....
Xport has volunteered to do it, hopefully pSx will take his request sincerely and allow him to do so....

Actually, IIRC pSX Author has stated that he has no plans to do an XBox port, and does not intend to release the source code. A pity, perhaps, but it's his decision - without him we wouldn't have this emulator at all.

Damn, you sure? Oh well, I guess there's nothing we can do about this then. It would have been pretty nice if it was ported though..

Actually, I'm not sure. I _was_ sure I could remember pSX Author posting to that effect at some point, but looking round I can't find that post - I may be wrong.

I am indeed interested in porting this to the XBox. I sent a PM to "pSX Author" several days ago to that effect, but have not received an answer. I am unsure why this is, but if he could just drop a quick line with a definitive answer, it would be greatly appreciated so that I can instead focus on PCSXBox if the answer is "no".
If my request was frustrating because it was something you've answered many times in the past, please understand that I only recently started reading these forums and there is little-to-no information on where you stand on the matter since it seems that many of the older posts that people allude to have been deleted.
Thanks much -XPort

pSX Author is very busy and you might not get a response for a while .

Hopefully the pSx Author has some time very soon to reply to this thread, as PSX emulation ont he XBOX would be amazing if feasible!!!

I hate to be "flamey" but it just seems like that's not exactly the direction anyone should go with the pSX or any other emulator, this is a highly biased personal opinion but I just think it'd be a disgrace to have a psx emu ported to xbox :/

Hmmm? In what way is it a disgrace?

Well, there are other things I would consider more important for pSX, but I don't see why there shouldn't be an XBox port sometime. Disgrace? Why on earth disgrace, yerlanthien?

Could the Xbox even handle pSX? the emu is running in software only mode and the X only has a 733mhz cpu.

pSX itself already has low system requirements, and while I can't give exact numbers, I can say with a high level of certainty that 733MHz is enough to handle it. Also, you have to take into account that much of the Windows API overhead isn't there on the XBOX (the fact that the BIOS is based on the Win2K kernel, IIRC, is irrelevant ;P).

Plus, pSX Author is not going to do this. Another programer (with experince with other emulator porting, but can't remember the name) is going to do this IF he's/she's allowed a copy of source code.
