Yeah, dude you're cool. You don't need to keep apologizing. Just make sure you read all the rules, FAQs, stickies and you'll be fine here. That goes for any forum. Patrickp and GM would be great admins here seeing that they basically live on this forum . But I think that Ultima mostly has the admin thing under control by himself right now . Maybe when one of us decides to retire then they could... BTW: GM, noticed that same problem last week about the screen changing back to normal when you fast foward also. I hope that gets fixed also.

Thanks for the recommendations! =) Admin or not, I'm glad to be of service here, and the admins we have here are quite good (well, emulover isn't really on much, but I'm sure he/she serves a purpose too).
In case pSX Author decides to change that, the problem started occurring in v1.4 (it seems more and more that v1.4 was some sort of major recode project... many things were drastically improved with that version).

Hi, I've just recently got into using pSX. Wow, what a great emulator. After using it for a bit, I have a few suggestions: - How about packing emulator with a blank memory card file? I had trouble at first trying to figure out what extension
the emulator was asking for. The open dialog just asks for "PSX memory cards". You could just place a zero byte file called Blank.mcr in the folder, it seems to work fine.
- "Default" buttons for all configuration tabs.
- A way to disable the suspension of sound when the emulator is not focused.
- Configure or change the quickstate buttons. All the other emulators I use I have configured or by default they use
F5 for save, F7 for load, and 0-9 for selecting states.
- Reorganize the menus (said before, I know). Definitely need an "About". How about a separate menu for memory cards?
I don't really think of switching a memory card as configuration, and it takes away from the experience of pretending it's a real playstation. (Hopefully I'm not alone on that one or I'll sound crazy)
For the people that suggested hiding the console window, here's a decent method that I use: Grab a copy of Tray It!(Main use of the program is to minimize to system tray with Ctrl+left click on minimize button) CheckBox Load TrayIt! at Startup Shift + Left click to put icon in systray right click on the icon, select place in system tray Now you can right click and select edit profile CheckBox Minimize on start CheckBox do not create an icon in tray area, hide application completely Also, a suggestion for this thread: Edit the 1st post to list a few suggestions that have been made already. Ultima: Formatted the list properly for you ;P

It's in my experience that people who constantly apologise and are worried that their posts may hurt someone or whatever, have been chastised in some other forums in the past for whatever reason. No comment on the admin things. Also, a suggestion for this thread: Edit the 1st post to list a few suggestions that have been made already. Seconded. Atleast including the ones that keep coming up again and again would be good. Not that everyone would read the first post and people would still suggest the same things even if it were on the list, but atleast we'd have a list to refer them to after that. Possibly change the thread name to "pSX 1.9 Request Thread (READ THE FIRST POST PRETTY PLEASE"

I'll try to do that sometime... I know I said that before, but I've been short on time -- honest! In the mean time, as I've noted before, some of the bigger stuff are listed in the FAQ already, like OpenGL, GameShark, more image formats, and probably more I'm forgetting (just pulling random stuff out of my head that I can remember).

Were it not a bit out of line, I'd create a separate thread to temporarily hold all of them, but that would also require no replying allowed on it, as people would most definitely try to post in that thread getting their request onto the list (bunch of vultures out there, I swear!). Meh... I look forward to this suggestion being implemented. It's definitely a good idea.

pSXAuthor, I would like to first thank you for continuing to support and improve your debugger and logging functions (especially the ability to change the font). They have proven to be essential to several of my projects. I do have a few very small suggestions though. First, can you add the font changing ability to the logging window? Second, and most important, would it be possible to have either the logging feature or the debugger (preferably through the debugger) record the CPU instructions that are executed while in interpreter mode? Currently, I need to create logs by hand and it is very tedious. If you would be so generous to add this feature, could you make sure that the instruction listings include the values of the changing registers and memory locations? Next, would it be easy to toggle the debugger text from using r0-r30 notation to v0, v1, ..., ra notation? This is minor but every document that I have uses the later and it would make it easier to go back and forth. My final suggestion is to be able to toggle the logging feature with a key press (similar to pcsxTrace). This is not critical, but it would make getting to the portion of the game of interest easier (and quicker) and result in smaller and more manageable log files. Out of all of my suggestions, this last one is probably the least important but I thought it might pique your interests. Thank You again for (in my opinion) the only emulator worth using for development and testing.

Instead of yelling, I'm going to speak in an indoor voice. The emulator doesn't use plugins, and will never use plugins. Never.

I wanted to suggest having a "Mute sound when not focused" checkbox to accompany the "Pause when not focused" option when it is unchecked because I noticed that the sound doesn't play when when the emulator is not in focus. The reason for this is because I was testing CD Player function in pSX and I was switching between different programs and I couldn't listen to the music while pSX was not in focus when I was switching through different programs. This also became a problem when I was trying to run another program to record audio from some games as well. And yes, I did see the part in the readme that said that the sound will be disabled when not in focus . I just think it would be nice to have the option to have the sound playing when not in focus.

Definitely needed for the CD player function, TheCloud. After all, who wants to have to sit there staring at the CD player display just to play a CD?

Try Copah's CDReader plugin - and read the readme! Edit: Hm... maybe it's time someone made a Winamp skin based on the Playstation CD player...? Re-edit: European BIOS, of course, eh, GM?
