So... how do we celebrate having exactly 1,000 members now? It'd be great if we could throw a party for one whole day... just all of us get together in front of 1,000 computer monitors and play our hearts out.

hehe - is that a hint? Seriously though: pSX v1.9 is coming but I've been very busy with work recently and when I've had spare time I haven't really felt much like doing anything major - the last couple of weekends I spent a lot of time finishing DW7 I have been making progress though, so don't worry ;p

No need to hurry, well-done cookies are always better than half-baked

I'm just messing with ya pSX Author. Finish up DW7 and relax. We know you have a life too. If you spent all of your time working on pSX and not working, you would go broke and you would have to sell your computer and you wouldn't be able to work on pSX anymore. That's my way of seeing it. I don't think any of us would want that, do we? We won't go anywhere . I think it's time to start accepting those donations... Mmmm. Cookies sound good right about now. When we get to up to 2,000 members, hopefully some of them will actually post .

Well, the 1000th member would appear to be khuong. Should we give him a plaque or something? ;D Edit: cor, GM, wish I could sit in front of the PC for a day and play! Some of us have to w*rk, you know!

No, I work Mondays to Fridays, kiru. But that then means I only have two days left to myself in the week, so sitting in front of the PC for one of those wouldn't really leave me with a lot of time for everything else.

Work is what I consider that 40 hours a week to earn the money to enjoy the other 128 hours in the week. I only sleep 3-4 hours a day, so that gives me plenty of time to be online and play games (and occasionally chill with friends when they're not busy at the same time I'm not busy).
It *is* rather humorous that out of 1,000 members, only about 10-20 members with any kind of regularity. There are some that post here and there, but only about that many post at least a couple times a week. And I'm still wondering where emulover fits in. He's probably one of the lowest posters that actually comes on here for more than a month.

3-4 hours a day? Damn... Don't you ever feel tired at the end of the day...?
And yeah, indeed, only 10 or 20 members come around and post regularly. Maybe it's because the 10/20 "posters" post everything, already (some fallen gods, specifically)...
Perhaps emulover is an administrator just because pSX Author seems to be a very nice person, because I remember that thread started a long time ago where pSX Author was searching for administrators -- if I remember well, he was about to announce the new staff group when emulover came up begging for a place, too... and pSX Author, at the top of his benevolence, accepted one more candidate...

Makes sense. I guess it really doesn't matter, as not being around is better than being around in a negative way (which, as far as I know, he isn't a bad person).
Yeah, sometimes I get a little tired. But during days of inactivity, my body runs on a 5000 calorie diet, and I'm always very much full of energy (I'm like ADHD, but not so bad on the AD). So as long as I keep myself fed, I don't really have problems with getting tired much. I more usually stay up for 2 days and then sleep for 6-8 hours.
Hmm... I guess there are just a few people who are able to get on here enough to help whoever needs help, and me being a fairly intelligent and helpful person, I tend to be one of those people. Not to mention I love testing and troubleshooting, so helping in these ways is right up my alley. I can't speak much for patrickp, but it seems he is also the sort who likes to help people and at least somewhat enjoys troubleshooting and such.

Damn Truth. You just had to go ahead and ruin the party . LOL. We were all celebrating for nothing. I guess when we really get to 1,000 members, it won't be a big deal anymore.

I do feel like cleaning some of the members out. Just the ones that never posted and haven't logged in the past 6 months.

I agree but it'll take forever to get to 1,000 members if we do that. I say do it, see what Ultima says.
