Well, we've still got the celebrations coming up, GM... Ultima can't change _that_ date... I hope!

Alright, so we have the cake. I think we need to put up a banner. And we need food to eat before the cake. And medals... we have to have medals. Should we have a raffle, or might that be too tacky?

I think we should have some competitions - any suggestions (and, no, Ultima-baiting is _not_ an appropriate activity...)?
Edit: do you bake a cake every day for the forum, Mika? ;D

Yes, but he didn't actually charge you 1000 Mesetas for shortcake (forget how much it actually was), so it wasn't quite so bad. I take it you're a Marie Antoinette fan, then? ;D

Let them eat cake.
I think he charged 280 mesetas. I can't believe I still haven't finished that game either. Buah. Too many games in the backlog.

I never owned a Sega console, but once I borrowed Master System from a friend and played the first Phantasy Star quite far. I had tons of dungeon/maze maps I drew myself. Good times.

Long live graph paper and coloured pens! Yes, I guess somewhere I've still got hand-drawn maps for each planet and dungeon in Phantasy Star... and other games, too. Oh, these kids today... they'd be lost without a graphics package - or more likely the internet to provide complete walkthrus, maps, cheats etc!

Oh yes, graph paper is the win when playing Phantasy Star. I don't know if it was how the developers planned it, but damn it would have been impossible to find your way around them without maps. It was also great how you would move in steps, so it was easy to draw maps in right size.
I think I have play that game soon.
There was this other game that I can't quite recall the name of (Dragon Crystal?), but it had this guy walking around and he had a big egg following him on every step. Eventually the egg hatched and turned out to be dragon. Never beat that one either.
